5. AB 540 o October 12, 2001 o In-state tuition for qualifying students  attended high school in CA for 3+yrs  earned a high school diploma or GED  Affidavit  Apply for legal residence asap o Documented students and US Citizens also qualify under these conditions

7. AB 130 July 25, 2011 AB 540 students can receive private scholarships through university

8. o Allows students that meet the in-state tuition requirements to apply and receive financial aid at California public colleges and universities. The types of financial aid these students would be eligible for include:  Board of Governors (BOG) Fee Waiver  Institutional Student Aid: Student aid program administered by the attending college or university (i.e. State University Grant, UC Grant)  Cal Grants. These students would not be eligible to apply or receive any Competitive Cal Grants unless funding remains available after all California resident students have received Competitive awards they are eligible for. Undocumented- Individuals residing in the United States who are not U.S. citizens, who do not hold current permanent resident visas, or who have not been granted permission under a set of specific authorized temporary statuses for longer-term resident and work. o In many cases, such individuals have resided in the United States for much, if not most, of their lives, and came here as infants and young children with their parents.
