2. 2 Telecommunications (TELWG) Telecommunications Workgroup Chairman made a presentation on Ethernet telecommunications technologies being implemented in the utility industry at the combined RASRS, RWG, and TELWG meeting on November 20, 2014. Telecommunications Workgroup formed a drafting team at the July meeting to begin the review and revision of the document titled “Guidelines for the Design of Critical Communications Circuits”. Drafting team progress will be reported at the November meeting. Telecommunications Workgroup meeting was held on July 23 and 24 in Salt Lake City, UT, hosted by the WECC. Work Group Activities

3. 3 Substation Workgroup SSWG The Substation Workgroup held their last meeting May 4 -6, 2015 at the WECC offices in Salt Lake City. The next Substation Workgroup general meeting for the full membership is tentatively scheduled for April 2016. Specific dates will be forth coming. The SSWG continues to suffer from a significant decrease in attendance and participation. All WECC member utilities are strongly encouraged to send representatives from their substation engineering and/or maintenance departments. Work Group Activities

4. 4 Relay Work Group(RWG) The Relay Workgroup reviewed and updated documentation over five years old. The documents reviewed and approved are: BPA Switch into Fault Relay Operations (1997) RetiredBPA Switch into Fault Relay Operations EHV Transmission Line Protection Guide (2006) UpdatedEHV Transmission Line Protection Guide Westinghouse SPCU Relay Discussion (1997) Retired Westinghouse SPCU Relay Discussion The Relay Workgroup approved the analysis and trending report pertaining to the misoperation data reported under PRC-003-WECC- CRT-1 for 2012 and forward to the tech writer. The Relay Workgroup is in the process of developing a review, analysis and trending report pertaining to the misoperation data reported under PRC-003-WECC-CRT-1 for 2013 and 2014.
