2 The United States has five great Lakes  Lake Michigan is the sixth largest lake in the world!

3 Lake Michigan is being invaded!  Zebra mussels are a species of fish that are invading Lake Michigan and causing environmental chaos.  They attach themselves to large ships that come from other countries.

4 Lake Michigan divides Michigan into two parts.  Michigan has the lower peninsula and the upper peninsula.  The Mackinaw Bridge connects the two peninsulas.
