When you are finished with your test, put your test and scantron on my desk and pick up a Chapter 30 Directed Reading and a copy of your Chapter 30 notes. Remember: Chapter 29 Directed Reading is due today. Make sure to put it in the period drawer before you leave.

11 Science Skills Friday (10/23/09) Write the question and answer to the following questions from Ch. 23, Sect. 2 1.Draw the parts of the flower from Figure 23-7 on page 489 and label each part. 2.From your study guide, draw the female parts of the flower and label them. 3.From your study guide, draw the male parts of the flower and label them. 4.If I have a plant that reproduces asexually from a tuber, is it reproducing by mitosis or meiosis? 5.Draw what cross-pollination looks like (hint: from study guide). 6.Draw what self-pollination looks like (hint: from study guide).

12 Silent Reading Time The first 20 minutes of 4th period is designated as reading time. Please bring reading material to read silently during this period. If you do not have reading material, I have magazines available on my desk or books on my shelf. Please return them when you are finished using them for reading period. This period is for reading only. Please do not visit, work on homework, or sleep.
