On 20 Nov 06, policy was reviewed by the Office of the Judge Advocate General who determined no changes were necessary.

States that procurement of services below $2500 is prohibited unless prior authorization is received from the designated Pest Management Consultant through the appropriate DPW and the IPMC.

Designates responsibilities for PMC’s, IPMC’s, Self-Help Managers, housing occupants and building managers. Encourages non-chemical techniques for lawn management, not permitting issue of weed and feed type of fertilizers.

Four installations (Forts Bragg, Gordon, Drum and Picatinny Arsenal) are planned for this FY. Plan to train USACHPPM personnel for assistance in this process. Major benefit to Army families-demonstrates that the installation has an outstanding PM program emphasizing IPM principles. Dr. Tom Green, IPM Institute of America will provide further details.
