Two A+ Schools did not report any designated Arts Education Teachers (Aulander Elementary & Global Scholars Academy) Virtually all (97%) A+ Schools reported designated teachers for Visual Arts Education Roughly 92% (36 of 39) A+ Schools reported designated teachers for Music Education in General Music, Choir, Band, or Orchestra.

Media and/or Library Teachers & Facilitators were designated in the majority of A+ Schools Physical Education teachers were designated in the majority of A+ Schools Roughly half of all A+ Schools (20 of 39) reported a designated Technology teacher Roughly 15% (6 of 39) A+ Schools reported designated teachers for one or more World Languages

All A+ Schools (100%) reported a designated teacher for Exceptional Children Over half of A+ Schools reported a designated teacher for English as a Second Language (56%) Reading Coach (59%) Academically & Intellectually Gifted (67%)

Music and Visual Arts Education were most frequently offered on a 5-Day Rotation of one time per week Middle Schools were more likely than Elementary Schools to offer Arts Education on a daily basis

As a whole, both Arts Educators and General Classroom teachers were reported to integrate the arts into instruction frequently throughout the year Arts Educators were reported to integrate more frequently than General Classroom Teachers

Roughly 95% of Arts Educators were reported to integrate instruction frequently throughout the year or more. Roughly 36% of Arts Educators were reported to integrate instruction on a daily basis. Roughly 85% of General Classroom teachers were reported to integrate instruction frequently throughout the year or more. Roughly 18% of Arts Educators were reported to integrate instruction on a daily basis.

35 STRENGTH OF INTEGRATION
Across all A+ Schools, Visual Arts Integration was reported to be the strongest across the school. Across all A+ Schools, Dance Integration was reported to be the weakest across the school.

All A+ schools reported integration of music & visual arts – they were equally likely to be reported as “strong” (14) Visual Arts Integration was most likely to be reported as “Very Strong” (9) Music Integration was least likely to be reported as “Very Strong” (3) Dance Integration was most likely to be reported as “not evident” (7)
