Weird World Of Freaky Shit

Snowball The worlds largest domestic cat belonged to the Kearney family of Chicago. They bought Snowball when he was a kitten from a local pet store. They picked him from a litter of 6. He was the only one to develop the condition. The Kearney’s knew their cat wasn’t normal when he scared away the neighborhood dogs. Their local vet was unable to provide an explanation for Snowball’s size Tests carried out by the A.S.P.C.A. found that Snowball’s D.N.A. contained an active Chromosome that is presently active only in wild big cats such as lions and tigers e.t.c. but is dormant in small cats such as domestic cats. During Snowball’s four year lifespan, (he was put down due to developing severe arthritis) he reached the size of a fully grown Golden Retriever and weighed 38kg.

Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water. A routine exercise by the U.S. Navy’s search & rescue division in San Francisco during 1998 gave the divers a fright when a prowling great white decided to join the party.

Beware the enemy that hides in dust. Dust mites are small organisms that live in dust particles and are common in most homes. In 1992 12 year old Pedro Garcia of Cuba was rushed to hospital due to a bad infection in his right eye. After three hours doctors removed a gelatin object just under 1 cm. In length. It was later identified as the egg pouch of a dust mite.

A one in billion chance. During 1987, 40 year old Jana Svenson of Ontario collapsed in her home and slipped into a comatose state for 2 weeks during which time she developed a severe swelling to the top of her head. Cat scans showed severe damage to her brain but showed no cause of the damage. After 3 more days Jana was pronounced brain dead. Doctors decided to perform surgeory to relieve the swelling in her head even though her chances of survival were slim. (According to Canadian law if a person’s heart is still beating then that person is still alive therefore he or she must still receive all necessary medical treatment.)

Doctors were shocked at what they saw when they removed the top of her scull. Her brain was being eaten away by maggots. A few days before collapsing Jana hurt her head in her kitchen while preparing a meal and failed to treat the wound properly. Doctors deduced that a common house fly laid its eggs in her wound where they hatched and the resulting maggots fed on the only source of food available to them. Jana died 17 hours after surgeory

The last picture. A few weeks into the effort, a member of the clean up crew working at the World Trade Centre disaster site found a camera amongst the rubble. He took it home where he forgot about it until a few months later. He had the film developed and it consisted of a group of tourists on the WTC rooftop posing in front of the New York City skyline. But it was the last exposure on the film that caught his attention. (You’re not gonna believe this.)
