2 Research In Motion, the Canadian makers of Blackberry, may escape a ban on its popular core services by agreeing to provide "manual interception" of its core Blackberry Messenger service (BBM). Official sources said the technical group consisting of officials of the Department of telecom and security agencies have been satisfied with the manual interception being worked out by the smartphone makers to allow legal interception of its core services to Indian security agencies. RIM's Blackberry may escape ban in India

The sources, however, said that it may take three or four months before a final solution emerges on allowing Indian security agencies legal and direct access to both BBM and Blackberry Enterprise Service (BES). The technical group is in the process of analysing the technical solution being offered on the Blackberry Enterprise Service (BES) and so far no final view has been taken on it.

4 Satyam to delist ADRs from NYSE IT firm Mahindra Satyam said it would delist from the New York Stock Exchange in mid-October due to non-compliance, adding that it would likely miss its deadline to report financial results for fiscal year 2009. The company on Tuesday said its board will review its audited financial results for fiscal years 2009 and 2010 on Sept. 29, which analysts say will take it closer to a merger with parent Tech Mahindra. Tech Mahindra, which bought Satyam in April 2009 and is operating it as an independent company, has said it can only merge the firm into the parent after the restated results for fiscal years 2009 and 2010 are announced.

5 Nano to be 2nd best selling car in India by FY 11: JD Power Nano, the small car from the Tatas, is projected to become India's second best selling car next year, according to market research firm JD Power. According to a report by JD Power, Nano will replace Hyundai's i10, which is slated to take the second position in 2010 after Maruti Suzuki's Alto. Tata Motor's Indica will be the third best seller this year. By 2017, the top three models will be the Alto, Nano and Maruti Suzuki Wagon R.

6 Hyundai re-launches i10 at Rs 3.48L- Rs 5.91L Hyundai Motor India introduced a new version of its compact car i10, offered at an introductory price of Rs 3.48 lakh to Rs 5.91 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new car, 'Next Gen i10', which made its global debut, will be replacing the existing i10. "We have further boosted the design element and packed the car with safety and comfort related technological innovation...and we believe this will set new benchmark in this segment," Hyundai Motor India Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer H W Park told. The Next Gen i10 will be available in two petrol engine variants of 1.1l and 1.2l. While, the 1.1l has a mileage of 19.81 km per litre, 1.2l engine will deliver a fuel economy of 20.36 km per litre, the company claimed.
