Concretely,  Communication and device control interfaces for people with special needs.  Ambient Intelligence (AmI) for home environments.  Design for all.

Participation in International Associations:  Advancement of Assistive Technology in Europe –AAATE.  Net of Assistive Technology in Latin-America.

ROBOTIKER-TECNALIA Profile. 2nd Call Infoday, 22 nd May 2007 Pág. 7 GENERAL ACTIVITIES AND EXPERIENCE: PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT (I) SOPRANO (starting Jan. 2007):  Service oriented programmable smart environments for older Europeans (IP from IST-AAL call of FP6).  Development of context-aware, smart environment services with natural and comfortable interfaces for elderly people and everyone at affordable cost. DISPLAYER (under development):  Portable System for Reading Display Panels.  Enables blind people, and even those partially sighted to read different information screens (display panels), very common on domestic appliances and everyday household equipment.  Useful and affordable tool for blind and people with visual disabilities. 4 th ONCE International R&D Award in New Technologies for The Blind and Visually Impaired

COMPORTA:  Design and development of an accessible portable communication system for people with severe motor impairment.
