2 NIRISS Science Team Meeting Oct 2015  Goals (for NIRISS performance): 1.Characterize and verify the performance of all the modes of NIRISS (including new detector). 2.Collect data for reference files (JWST calibration pipeline, aXe, etc…).  Hardware changes since CV2: new grisms (GR700XD, GR150R), new detector, new wheel motors.  Important dates: Oct 21: ISIM CV3 TRR Closeout Review Oct 26: AFC/SFT and pumpdown  Since CV2: new grisms, detector, wheel motors  characterize all modes of NIRISS Detector  Collect reference files for JWST calibration pipeline (update some in commissioning)  External stimulus from OTE Simulator (OSIM): monochromatic and continuum sources, diffuser illumination (flat field)  Low chamber background Overview

17 NIRISS Science Team Meeting Oct 2015  Rapid turnaround and formal documentation in order to: 1.Verify requirements. 2.Characterize and assess the performance of each mode. 3.Update or change the operations. 4.Create the final pre-flight set of calibration reference files for all modes (due 6 months after the completion of CV3). Note: other analyses by the ISIM team (alignment, trending, etc…) Post-CV3 Analysis

18 NIRISS Science Team Meeting Oct 2015  Will verify and characterize all the modes of NIRISS and collect all necessary data for launch.
