6. Mishaps and Design Flaws  Originally built a device to launch ball with rubber bands, but was too inefficient even for Mr. Goldberg. Advice from a smart TA helped at this point.  Couldn’t turn lights on in Estabrook 13; walked around in the dark for half an hour until Dr. Bennet came to save the day.  Very difficult for golf ball to gain enough momentum to knock weight hard enough  Didn’t have any food whatsoever during the making of the project; major design flaw.
