Gases assume the volume and shape of their containers. Gases are the most compressible state of matter. Gases will mix evenly and completely when confined to the same container. Gases have much lower densities than liquids and solids.

Units of Pressure 1 Pascal (Pa) = 1 N/m 2 1 atm = 760 mmHg = 760 torr = 101,325 Pa = 101.325 kPa = 14.7 psi Barometer Pressure = Force Area

 Convert from 123,560 Pa to atm  Convert 45.7 psi to mmHg

 Convert 1.5 atm to mmHg  Convert 768 mmHg to kPa  Convert 235,620 Pa to psi  Convert 0.23 psi to torr

 Convert 1.5 atm to mmHg [1140 mmHg]  Convert 768 mmHg to kPa [102.4 kPa]  Convert 235,620 Pa to psi [34.2 psi]  Convert 0.23 psi to torr [11.9 torr]
