2. Ocular History  64 Year old man  OS:  Defective vision – 6 months duration  Pain and redness – 3 days

3. First Presentation First Presentation  VA: OD 6/18, OS HM  IOP: OD 10mm Hg; OS 18mm Hg by NCT  OD: Quiet, PCIOL  OS:  Diffuse congestion;  Granulomatous KP's on endothelium  AC 3+ cells; Pseudohypopyon  Hypermature Cataract

5. First Presentation - US  OS – Anterior Vitritis

6. Diagnosis  Lens-induced uveitis

7. Treatment  Prednisolone e/d  Hourly followed by tapering therapy  Homatropine e/d twice/day

8. Follow up – after 2 weeks  OD - Quiet  OS  Inflammation has decreased  small incision cataract surgery with IOL

9. Follow up – after 4 weeks  OU - Quiet

10. Conclusion  Lens induced uveitis occurs  due to lens protein leak into AC through external lens capsule in hypermature cataract  also following penetrating trauma and injury to anterior lens capsule  Treatment includes early cataract extraction with or without IOL implantation under steroid cover  Visual prognosis is good!!
