Evaluation of the current website and future plans O EACC, European Advisory Committee of Cytotechnology, an independent organisation of Cytotechnologists (CT), has been chosen by EFCS to undertake the external evaluation work regarding the current static website as well as the future dynamic one O A questionnaire prepared by Roberto Dina and Alan Badger was received in August. EACC added a few questions and the questionnaire was distributed through the EACC members

4. Non responders, why? O The EACC members from Denmark, Germany, Slovenia, Sweden and Switzerland think the lack of feedback is due to little interest in the website, even though the national EACC member has recommended it! The low interest could be due to lack of updating of the website. O The German EACC member thinks that the languages available is a barrier and that a German translation would have increased the interest. (There are approx. 2500 Cytotechnologists in Germany).

O 26/33 had used a training website O 16/33 had used this Eurocytology website as part of the training O 14/33 think it is very easy to navigate the site only two think it is difficult and the rest think it is moderately easy O 2/33 viewed the site in Italian, the rest in English O 27/33 responders think that the choice of languages is enough

9. Training package 1-3 O Evaluated the chapters as weak, average to excellent regarding: O A. Graphics O B. Academic content O C. Practicallity O The evaluation varied a lot, but mainly the chapters are regarded as excellent to average for both A, B and C O The main complaint though was that some of the images are blurred and no images are possible to enlarge O More images are requested

12. Comments O ”Especially the gyn-modules should offer many more pictures with higher magnification and better description (e.g. nuclear shapes, tumor diathesis), as well as better quality. If small sizes, they should all be possible to enlarge, not only some”

13. Comments cont. O ”The web site offers excellent theoretical information but lacks microscopic images in all areas. If the future education of CTs will be based exclusevly through virtual platform, trainings will need to work at the area of image galleries, which must offer a virtual tour using change resolution possibility (10x, 20X, 40X)”
