2 Igor Y. Tamm Igor was Born July 8, 1895. In Vladivostok, Russia. He is the son of Evgenij Tamm. His father was an engineer.

3 Igor Y. Tamm His Mother was Olga Davydova. His wife was Natalia Shuiskaya. They had one daughter and one son together.

4 Schooling University of Edinburgh 1913-1914. He graduated from Moscow State University in 1918. He specialized in Physics. He immediately acquired a career. It was in the higher institutes of learning.

5 Career Professor at J. M. Sverdlov Communist University. Professor at Moscow State University 1924-1937 Scholar at P. N. Lebedev Physical Institute.

6 Nobel Prize He received the Nobel Prize for physics 1958. He received it with Pavel A. Cherenkov. He also received it with Ilya M. Frank.

7 Contribution to Science His early studies were devoted to…. Crystallo-Optics. Quantum theory of diffused light in solid bodies.

8 Contribution to Science He then turned his studies to… The Theory of Relativity. Quantum Mechanics.
