2. 1) John 1:12 - It is a right given to us by God. 2) John 11:52 - We are part of God's family. 3) Rom 8:16 - We are heirs of God through adoption. 4) Rom 8:21 - We have been freed from the slave market of Sin. 5) Rom 9:8 - Our Family is an eternal one. 6) Phil 2:15 - We have family responsibilities (RFHC) 7) 1 John 3:1 - Our Father has a great love for us. 8) 1 John 3:2-3 - We have the immutable promise of resurrection. 9) 1 John 3:10 - There is a difference between us and the children of the devil, (i.e. live in righteousness or not) 10) 1 John 5:2 - We are to love God and His children by keeping His commandments. 4. 3) 1 John 3:4-18 a) Practice sin and lawlessness (against God's Word), vs 4 & 8 b) Do not practice impersonal / unconditional love, vs 10 & 14 c) Are murders - physically, vs 12 d) Their works and deeds are from themselves vs from God, vs 12 e) Haters and murders - soulishly (gossip, malign, slander), vs 15 f) Do not help others in need, vs 17 g) Possess pseudo love - all talk and no action, flatterers and hypocrites, vs 18 4) 1 John 3:14b, They live in their spiritually dead state.
