1 The man with the gifted hands.

2 The Success of the man.  He has become on of the most successful neurosurgeons of his time.  He was one of the first surgeons to split conjoined twins who were attached threw there occipital lobes.  He specializes in pediatric neurology, and has saved many lives of children

3 His obstacles 1. He had no father. 2. His Mother had to work three jobs to support him and his brother 3. He had A temper that was difficult to control

4 During the age of ten his mother wanted him and his brother to begin reading 2 books a week. The Knife incident, that made him realize that he had a temper. Obsighidine His wife is a smart women. What shaped him? Success is not created in a vacuum.

5 Family  His mother could not read but despite that she still encouraged him to read.  His older brother was also interested in intellectual activities and became an engineer.  Coming from poverty really engrained perseverance in him.

6 The Mentality behind the man. “ Successful people don't have fewer problems. They have determined that nothing will stop them from going forward.” When we are confronted by failure and mistakes, we can leave them behind and go on with our lives.” “Reading activates and exercises the mind. Reading forces the mind to discriminate. From the beginning, readers have to recognize letters printed on the page, make them into words, the words into sentences, and the sentences into concepts. Reading pushes us to use our imagination and makes us more creatively inclined.”
