Week of 9/15 -9/18 9/18 Friday: Using the lab manual pages 11-13. 1) What is the possible mineral: clear to smoky gray, fracture, hardness of 6.5+, no real streak (maybe white). 2) What is the possible mineral: color is a brassy yellow, hardness of 3.5-4.5, streaks gray

Week of 9/21 -9/25 9/21 Monday: Study your mineral skeleton notes for your quiz. And open the lab manual to page 11-13. 9/24 Thursday: Look at Igneous Colored Chart Explain what happens to the rock color as quartz becomes less apparent.

Week of 9/21 -9/25 9/25 Friday: Look at Igneous Colored Chart Explain in a list form how you use the chart to name an igneous rock.

Week of 9/28 -10/2 10/1 Thursday: Look at Igneous Colored Chart or your lab manual page 26. 1) You have a rock sample of an andesite porphyry, tell me all the characteristics of that rock. 2) You have a rock sample of gabbro, tell me all the characteristics of that rock.

(Not the three types of movements.) 11/12 Thursday: Read ONE of the articles on your table –Answer the following questions and be ready to share. 1)What type of mass wasting occurred and where? 2)Was there any damage? Describe 3)Could this mass wasting event have been avoided?
