Background & Status We have been working with PTI PSS®E to get playback functionality in the standard model library Playback model will be in PSS®E v34.1 (currently on v34.0) Have released the .dll file for compatibility with v33.1 Add model library: psspy.addmodellibrary(‘…PATH\plbvfu1_v33.dll’)

Next Steps & Charge NERC SMS to start developing Reliability Guideline “Model Verification using PMUs” Kicking off this effort on Friday, September 25 at 10AM Eastern Focus on practitioner-focused look on performing model verification using PMUs Platform-agnostic description of the purpose, value, and need Cross-platform examples of PSLF, PSS®E, and any others Industry (SMS members) testing PSS®E playback model Providing guidance and user community within SMS for this Benchmarking PSLF vs. PSSE for same disturbances Need to “confirm” that these tools match performance Would like to bring PSLF, PSS®E, and other vendors with this capability to the table to discuss implementation(s)
