3 Activity 4: Rate, Swap, and Revise Use the Bloom’s Taxonomy worksheet to rate the Bloom’s level of your question. Swap your question with a neighbor. Do you agree on the Bloom’s level? What is this question accomplishing? How can it be improved? 10 minutes

5 Share out What did you learn in this process? What worked well? What was challenging? How might you go about writing questions for your class? Is there a particular question type that you want to try to write?

6 Activity 6: Practicing Peer Instruction 6 In groups of 3, quickly choose a question. Show it to your instructor. If applicable: Figure out the right answer and why it’s right If applicable: Try to identify the errors or misconceptions behind each distractor Anticipate and prepare yourself for possible distributions of votes Review the choreography Choose one of your group to be the “instructor, ” and present the question to the rest of the workshop group as if they were students. 10 minutes

7 Activity 6: Practicing Peer Instruction 7 Your job as the audience is to: Ignore the content of the question; focus on implementation and instructor decisions. Say “pause” if you have a question or comment about implementation Vote as you think that a student might vote (or with your own opinion, if this is not your content area)

8 Action Plan Take a few minutes to write down your action plan to implement ideas you heard about in this part of the workshop. Email it to yourself! 8
