1 WeekActivitySkills 1 Sustainable Takeaway Packaging Stating, using and evaluating the properties of a range of 3D shapes, including cubes, cuboids, cylinders, cones, spheres and compound 3D shapes. 2 Sustainable Takeaway Packaging Calculating the volume contained in this range of 3D shapes, as well as calculating missing dimensions given the volume. 3 Sustainable Takeaway Packaging Presenting a considered proposal for the packaging for a particular takeaway product based on its mathematical and scientific properties. 4 Effective Takeaway Packaging Plotting graphs from their y=mx+c form by substituting to find their coordinates and finding the y=mx+c form for the equation from a graph given its graphical (plotted) form. 5 Effective Takeaway Packaging Investigating which materials are most effective for retaining heat and choosing which to use based on all scientific and mathematical properties. 6 Holistic Assessment Week Completing a formal skills assessment (no access to a computer), a computer-based assessment and an exercise book interview based on skills from Modules 1-3.
