4 Summary Despite what John Cockburn calls it, it’s not an abstract! ► normally it has an abstract ► usual to include graphical material ► will normally cite references Do include: ► motivation ► critical or innovative aspects of methodology ► numerical results ► necessary plots and diagrams ► references Don’t include: ► technical details of method ► diagrams which are not strictly necessary to prove your point ► waffle!
