A trapezium is a quadrilateral with one pair of parallel sides.
If the other two sides are of equal length it is called an isosceles trapezium.

Draw a circle and mark its centre A and two further
points B, C on its perimeter (not opposite each other). Draw a line from the centre A to each point B, C on the perimeter. About each point B and C draw a circle of same radius. Make sure to choose a radius such that these two circles intersect. Choose one of the intersection points, D, and draw a line from D to B and from D to C.
