PBL Continuum 9 Source: http://larow2.carollarow.com/Voyages/Brown_MS/brown_ms.html http://larow2.carollarow.com/Voyages/Brown_MS/brown_ms.html Students create a Google Map and/or Google Earth kmz that demonstrates their understanding of their assigned topics - an event or battle of the Civil War. As a class, students collaboratively include their information in a Google Map or Google Earth project. Students include information, pictures, and text in placemarkers, that explains and charts significant events in the war. Students draw their own conclusions about the research they complete on their topics. Mapping the Civil War

This project will require them to do internet research, allocate resources, calculate the cost of the trip, convert currencies and learn the geography and climate of a new area. Reading, writing and speaking and listening are covered as well as calculations, and presenting information in graphs. Dream 3 rd Grade Fieldtrip
