3  In Charlotte-Mecklenburg School System, the graduation requirements is a total of 24 credits.  All schools in the state of North Carolina have the Occupational Course of Study (OCS).  In order to receive a high school diploma, students must: › Pass English 1, 2, 3, and 4 › Pass Math 1, 2, and 3 › Pass Social Studies 1 and 2

4 › Pass Science 1 and 2 › Pass 4 CTE (Career and Technical Education classes) {It is recommended that at least one class should be a level 2 class.} › Pass 1 Health/PE class › Pass Occupational Preparation 1, 2, 3, and 4 › Pass Occupational Preparation Lab 1, 2, 3, and 4

5  Complete documented work hours to total 900 hours. › 300 School based work hours (on-campus) › 240 Community based work hours (off campus) › 360 Paid employment hours (paying job)  Paid employment hours are documented by turning in paycheck stubs  Hours can be started at any time during high school, but must be completed in order to receive a diploma.

6  Completion of a Senior Portfolio including presentation.  Completion of Individualized Education Plan goals/objectives.
