3. The horrors of the World Wars and the Holocaust caused world’s leaders to meet as the United Nations to work out how to avoid future atrocities like these. They essentially asked two questions: 1) how should humans be treated, and 2) what does every human deserve? The answer, human rights. The Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) was the final list of these rights. The declaration outlines the fundamental human rights that everyone has or should receive just for being human, and for no other reason.
