November 18, 2015 Bangladesh: Government 'mistakenly' cuts off internet 'mistakenly' Doug Madory Director of Internet Analysis at Dyn has captured the outage. @DougMadory

Plots of connectivity into Bangladesh for various local providers. The following graphics are illustrations of how traceroutes from ~200 servers of Dyn around the world reach various Bangladesh providers over time. Collectively these servers measure the latency and path to responding IPs within these providers. The median latency is across all of these servers so the absolute number isn’t as important as relative changes - also, during outages the median isn’t very reliable.

BTCL had a second outage. Dyn has extended the timeline accordingly.

Aamra partially stayed online via Telekom Malaysia.
10
Cybergate appeared to stay online. But it has experienced a performance hit as latencies jumped during the outage.
