10 School management committee(SMC) As per the RTE act all govt and aided school shall constitute SMC Of the elected representatives of local authority, parents and guardians of children and teachers. 75% are parents 7-16 members needed One among from teachers local educationalist and school leader

11 Functions of SMC Monitor the working of school Prepare school development plan Monitor the utilization of govt grants Punctuality and regularity of teachers Ensure 100% enrollment of children in the age group of 6-14 years. Monitor mid day meal

12 School development plan(SDP) Under section 22 (1) of the RTE act, school are required to develop a school development plan. Preparing the SDP is an important function of SMC SDP contain certain list of activities to be undertaken at the school level. It is a 3 year plan, estimating student strength, teacher requirement under the prescribed pupil teacher ratio (PTR), additional infrastructure, financial requirement etc

13 Staff council It consist of H.M and teachers The principle / H.m shall call for a general staff meeting every month, to discuss curricular and co curricular activities. The principal may call emergency to discuss important issues that may come up from time to time
