Research projects by theme/topic

Technologies covered by research Virtual Learning Environments Online/web resources (eg. Teachers TV, educational sites) Weblogs Mobile technologies (mobile phones, PDAs) Webconferencing Digital video – DVDs Interactive Whiteboards Games 3D virtual worlds (eg. Second Life)

Results/lessons clusters on… Teachers’ approach to design Designing with technology Students experience Staff development Material development Teaching with technology Learning with technology

One example… Staff development – Teachers that have access to the technology for the longest period and have time to experiment are usually the ones who take the lead in using Interactive Whiteboards in the most innovative ways. (Jewitt)

Another example… Student experience – One dominant topic in student experience of e- learning is their move between work/life/learning contexts: possibilities and constraints of e-learning in the context of work/life demands. degrees of coherence and complementarity between the e-learning experience and the rest of their lives.
