Stewards Of God’s Blessings 1 Peter 4:10 -- Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. We have been blessed to enable us to bless others.

Our Giving Reflects Our Attitude Toward God Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; bring an offering and come into his courts. Worship the LORD in the splendor of his holiness; tremble before him, all the earth. Psalm 96:8-9

How Much Should I Give? Do you see giving as an obligation? Do you see giving as a blessing? Do you see giving as worship?

Thoughts to direct our giving… 1 Corinthians 16:2 -- …each one of you is to put aside and save, as he may prosper…. 2 Corinthians 9:7 -- Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

Questions for giving: How much can I give based upon how I have prospered? How much can I give without being reluctant? How much can I give willingly without feeling compulsion? How much can I give and still be cheerful?

Strategies for improving ability to give: Limit or totally avoid credit card debt. Eat at home. Decrease unnecessary expensive drinks and snacks. Use what you buy until there is no more use left.

Romans 12:6 -- Since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, each of us is to exercise them accordingly: if prophecy, according to the proportion of his faith; if service, in his serving; or he who teaches, in his teaching; or he who exhorts, in his exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.
