Primitive people told about what happened to them and they repeated it over and over. They focused on survival, pleasing the gods, understanding life, and learning about other people.

The word theatre comes from the ancient Greek word theatron, which means a place for seeing.

6 What are some of the life skills that are used in theatre?
Theatre gives us a chance to try different experiences to become more self-confident, and to develop self-discipline. You learn to work with other people as part of a team.

7 What did William Shakespeare mean when he said theatre was a true reflection of human behavior?
Shakespeare meant that theatre reflects life as if it were a mirror.

8 What is meant by the player-audience relationship?
Player-audience relationship refers to the bond between the actor and the audience in a live performance . The actors respond to the audience and the audience responds to the actors.

9 What is an essential ingredient in live theatre?
The audience is an essential ingredient in live theatre because without it there is no theatre.
