2 IENG 248 D. H. Jensen 1/25/2016Engineering Graphics & 3-D Modeling2 Project Components  Skid Loader Toy: n Produce for 3-D Printer Need a pretty solid base Printing overhangs is a problem n Teams of about 5 students Partial instructor assignment n Parts Needed: All nine parts of the design packet (team) One end effector from each team member How to model parts:  Start with a simple base shape (extrude boss or rotate profile), then add (extrude bosses) or subtract (extrude holes) from there  Sometimes it helps to dimension from smallest to largest features  May need to compute / infer some dimensions; may alter shapes to fit!  May add details – better play value!  Team Design Packet: (turn in by 5:00 PM on Wed. 16 DEC) n (1) Cover page with all team member names n (1+) Assembly Drawings and (14) Detail Drawings

3 IENG 248 D. H.
