3. 10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister. 11 And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: 12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

4. 13 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself, 14 Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee. 15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise. 16 For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife.

5. 17 Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath: 18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us: 19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil; 20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

6. Hope Defined: Webster: : to want something to happen or be true and think that it could happen or be true..Common: The longing or desire for something accompanied by the belief in the possibility of its occurrence:..A Desire to obtain and the expectation of receiving it!

7. What the Bible teaches us about the Christian’s H O P E !! Heb. 6:19 “which HOPE we have as an anchor of the soul…” a) Heb.6:11 “..every one of you show the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end…” a) It is “Sure and Stedfast” (6:19)..”which hope we have as anchor of the soul, both “sure and stedfast”..

8. Our Hope in the Lord ‘transcends’ this life… I Cor. 15:19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable... We have hope of the resurrection. Acts 17:30-31 I Thess. 4:13-18.. We have hope of eternal life. Titus 3:7..that being justified by His grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. Eph. 4:1-6 One Hope

9. A Living Hope … I Pet. 1:3-4 3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his abundant mercy hath begotten us again unto a lively hope by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,

10. Believe what God says:

11. Rev. 2:10 “I will give you the crown of life!

12. Prov. 10:28 28 The hope of the righteous shall be gladness: but the expectation of the wicked shall perish.

13. Job 8:13-14 13 So are the paths of all that forget God; and the hypocrite's hope shall perish: 14 Whose hope shall be cut off, and whose trust shall be a spider's web.

14. Job 11:20 20 But the eyes of the wicked shall fail, and they shall not escape, and their hope shall be as the giving up of the ghost... (loss of life!)

15. Eph. 2:11-13 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; 12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: 13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

16. A Vivid Scene from Scripture Acts 24:24-25 And after certain days, when Felix came with his wife Drusilla, which was a Jewess, he sent for Paul, and heard him concerning the faith in Christ. 25 And as he reasoned of righteousness, temperance, and judgment to come, Felix trembled, and answered, Go thy way for this time; when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee.

17. Paul makes it clear about our Hope! 2 Cor. 3: 11 For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious. 12 Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:

And Peter Joins In and says I Pet. 1:13-19 Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; 14 As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: 15 But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation;

20. What does HOPE do? ! 1. 1. Makes Husbands and Wives content and happy together. 2. Eph. 5:23-25 3. “Rejoice with the wife of your youth... Why should you, my son, be in an ecstasy with a strange woman?”—PROVERBS 5:18, 20.PROVERBS 5:18, 20

21. 2. Makes Parents and Children enjoy being together, sharing. Eph. 6:4 and Eph. 6:1 Psalms 127:3

22. 3. Hope makes you thankful for what you are and what you have been given from God. Psalm 138:2 - I bow before your holy Temple as I worship. I will give thanks to your name for your unfailing love and faithfulness, because your promises are backed by all the honor of your name.

23. Eph. 5:20 - And you will always give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

24. Do you have HOPE?

25. Hope brought rejoicing to the Ethiopian Eunuch… Acts 8:39 went on his way rejoicing Hope brought rejoicing to the Philippian jailer. Acts 16:32-34
