Sucrose is widely used as a food additive Sugar beet pulp and molasses are processing by-products and are widely used as feed supplements for livestock Beet tops are an excellent source of protein, vitamin A, and carbohydrates, Tops are equal to alfalfa haylage or corn silage for sheep.
