4 Input Features: Browse to personal geodatabase, Hydrography, NHDFlowline Add

5 Output Feature Class: Browse to personal geodatabase, Hydrography Name = flowline_to_point Save

6 Check Inside (Optional) OK

7 flowline_to_point feature class has been added to table of contents

8 Right click on flowline_to_point Open Attribute Table

9 Options Select By Attributes

10 Create a new selection Where [FType] =558 Apply

11 Right click on flowline_to _point Data Export Data…

12 Export: Selected features This layers source data Browse to specify output feature class

13 Browse to personal geodatabase, Hydrography Save as type: Personal Geodatabase feature class Name = flowline_ap_points Save

14 flowline_ap_points feature class has been added to table of contents

15 Right click on flowline_ap_points Joins and Relates Join…

16 Populate table as shown below Browse to specify output feature class

17 Browse to personal geodatabase, Hydrography Save as type: Personal Geodatabase feature class Name = join_flowline_area Save

18 join_flowline_area feature class has been added to table of contents

19 Right click on flowline_ap_points Joins and Relates Join…

21 Browse to personal geodatabase, Hydrography Save as type: Personal Geodatabase feature class Name = join_flowline_waterbody Save

24 Windows explorer: Double click on personal geodatabase

27 Browse to NHDCleanup_Queries.mdb Double click on NHDCleanup_Queries.mdb

28 Select wbareacomid_cleanup1-5 OK

29 The following Sequel statements will be run against your personal geodatabase to find WBAreaComID’s that are Null or incorrect, Calculate them to the correct ID and track the ComID of the features being corrected in the NHDStatus table

45 Right click over NHDFlowline Open Attribute Table

46 Options Select By Attributes

47 Create a new selection Where [FType] = 558 Apply

48 Select from current selection Where [WBAreaComID] IS Null Apply

49 Select first record Zoom to selected This check will identify artificial paths that still have a WBAreaComID of Null Investigate to determine why they could not be calculated to a value

50 In this case the NHDFlowline straddles the NHDArea & NHDWaterbody. It should be moved and the correct WBAreaComID assigned

51 Check remaining features

52 WBAreaComID NHDArea ComID NHDWaterbody ComID WBAreaComID Spot Check WBAreaComIDs (Entire Dataset)
