2. Services to Schools Transformation www.schools.natlib.govt.nz The National Library is transforming the way it supports schools. The National Library Services to Schools vision is for young people to have access to effective and connected library services and library environments that support their development as readers and digitally literate learners. The National Library is focusing on the priority areas of reading engagement, digital literacy and modern library learning environments. As part of this transformation the way schools borrow resources from the National Library has changed. Loans will now be made up of items to support the resourcing needs of the school as determined by whole school collaborative planning.

3. Whole school loans www.schools.natlib.govt.nz Schools can request a whole school loan in terms 1, 2 and 3. The term 3 loan will be for both term 3 and term 4. Whole school loans include resources to ignite inquiry learning and resources to stimulate reading engagement. Our school is can request up to books in our whole school loan including up to books for up to inquiry topics and up to books for up to 4 reading engagement focus areas. Our school coordinators are and and their role is to coordinate the loan on behalf of our school.
