Location Location ¥Finland is in Northern Europe. ¥The capital city is Helsinki. ¥Norway, Russia and Sweden share a border with Finland. ¥The latitude/longitude of Helsinki is 60 degrees north and 25 degrees east. ¥An advantage is that Finland has lots of cities to visit. ¥A disadvantage is that it must get freezing in the winter. 4. Topography πIn Finland, Halti mountain is the only mountain. @The major rivers in Finland are the Torne river and the Kemi river. ◊The coastlines are the Baltic sea, the Gulf of Finland and the Gulf of Bothnia. ΩWe think that the best thing about Finland is that it has lots of cities to visit.

5. Government The president of Finland is Tarja Haloen.[Above] Government officials are elected by vote. Tarja makes the laws in Finland. Kesk,Christian Democrats and Green League are major political parties. Finland is divided into 20 regions.

6. Economy The major exports are machinery, chemicals and equipment. The major imports are foodstuffs and chemicals. Some of the jobs in Finland are agriculture, construction and industry. The Natural resources are Barley, Wheat and Potatoes. The Euro (Finnish money) is equal to 1 U.S Dollar.

7. People and Culture The different religions in Finland are: Orthodox and Lutheran. Some of the languages in Finland are Finnish and Swedish. A Traditional food in Finland is Cabbage Rolls. Some Holidays are Christmas and the Day of the Finnish flag. The different Ethnic groups are Finn and Sami. In Finland people LOVE outdoor sport.
