2. GOAL: To Be Able To Solve Equations in a systematic manner Solving Equations: – The goal is to get one of the variables (the one we’re interested in) on its own on one side of the equals sign. – We do this by using our mathematical operations (+, -, x, ÷). – THERE IS NO MAGIC!!!!

Whatever you do to one side of an equation you MUST do to the other side.
