LickliderFirst director of IPTO and gave his vision of galactic network. Robert TaylorHelped create the idea of the network in addition to Licklider and Kleinrock’s ideas which later became the ARPLANET. INITIAL CREATION Summer of 1968 – December of 1968 Elmer ShapiroHe chaired the first meeting of the Network Working Group(NWG) with the Stanford Researching Institute(SRI). In December, he released a report “Study of Computer Networking Design Parameters” which was based on the work done by Paul, Summer of 1968Steve Carr, Steve Crocker, Jeff Rulifson and Ron Stoughton Attendee’s of the meeting with the NWG and SRI, were they discussed solving issues related to getting hosts to communicate with each other. December of 1968Paul Baran, Thomas Marill, Lawrence Roberts, and Barry Wessler. They helped create the final version of the interface Message Processor(IMP) specifications. Bolt Beranek and Newman, Inc. (BBN) Awarded the contract to design and build the IMP sub network.
