RECENT ACTIVITIES RECENT ACTIVITIES Board member, Jane Fairall, holding a packet of information regarding Kiwanis International’s Eliminate Project. Jane will serve as our club representative, and will keep us updated on the progress of this global initiative. JUNE 14, 2012 CLUB MEETING BIKE HELMET PROJECT Member John Bates measuring child to fit her new bike helmet. Helmets are provided by our Kiwanis club as part of our Child Safety Program.. CHILD SAFETY PROGRAM Frederic Benjamin Schultz Jr., 81, passed away peacefully Friday, June 1, 2012. He served as club president in 1981 and also as Lt. Governor. He was a very energetic, active member who always lifted our spirits with his gift of humor. Our condolences to his wife Linnie and his family. Jim and Mary Ellen Lee 7/3 With The Eliminate Project, Kiwanis International and UNICEF have joined forces to eliminate maternal and neonatal tetanus. This deadly disease steals the lives of nearly 60,000 innocent babies and a significant number of women each year.
