14 Los Angeles One of the most important centres of culture, science, international trade and education in the world. Situated in California on the western coast of the USA. The second largest city of the USA. The biggest ZOO in the world. Hollywood - centre of film industry Disneyland – the most popular amusement park in the world

15 San Francisco Situated in California on the western coast of the USA.
Famous for its hilly relief and cable cars. On Alcatraz Island there is a famous military prison of the same name. Golden Gate Bridge - three mile long bridge between San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean. It has 6 traffic lines.

16 Chicago The third largest city of the USA.
Situated on the coast of the lake Michigan. Many beautiful sandy beaches. Centre of steel and iron industries. Willis Tower (former Sears Tower)- one of the tallest building of the world (443 m).

17 Boston Detroit Situated on the east coast of the USA.
Many colleges (35), most famous of them is Harvard University. Detroit The centre of US car industry – Ford, Chrysler, Cadillac. Nicknames - the Motor City, Motown. NHL club - the Red Wings.

18 New Orleans Situated in the South, standing on the bank of the Mississippi river. The home of jazz music; Louis Armstrong was born there. Mardi Gras Carnival is held there every year Las Vegas Situated in Nevada desert. City of hazard, casinos and shows. Known for gambling and nightlife.
