3 Introduction ME7834L-460 option - Customers can purchase:
Test package 1-year subscription, options (461, 462, 463, and 464). Designed to be run on Anritsu ME7834L system MD8430, RTD Control PC, AAP, Linux server, MF6900A, MN8141A and MD8480 Tests used for carrier acceptance testing for T-Mobile LTE network Test plans follow T-Mobile test requirements

5 General Information Commercial release every 3 months
Latest version is 1_1_0_A on RTD C 102 total test cases UICC cards for T-Mobile LTE Protocol Test Package For User Equipment which uses standard size UICC cards, this release requires P0054B Test USIM Pack for T-Mobile UTRAN Test Package, which contains 5 P0108A T-Mobile Test UICCs. For User Equipment which uses MicroSIM cards, this release requires P0054N Test MicroSIM Pack for T-Mobile UTRAN Test Package, which contains 5 P0108M T-Mobile Test miniUICCs. A) Total 102 tests are categorized as :- • 27 Tests for License Option MX786201A-461 (LTE SON) • 43 Tests for License Option MX786201A-462 (LTE Mobility and Intra-RAT Network Selection) • 16 Tests for License Option MX786201A-463 (LTE IRAT Mobility & IRAT SON & IRAT Network Selection) • 16 Tests for License Option MX786201A-464 (CSFB) B) Check release note for correct RTD version, RTD patches and firmware

6 General Information Linux server must be setup by Anritsu personnel according to latest version of ME7834L_ServerSetup.doc Linux server accounts: Standard login Username: anritsu Password: anritsu Admin login Username: root FTP account Username: apmftpuser Password: apmftpuser Data Server (Linux PC) The Data Performance software (MX786201A-061_0_9_1_98.zip) must be installed on the Data Server PC and the Data Performance software client must be installed on each RTD PC that uses the Data Performance software. Follow the instructions contained in MX786201A-061_0_9_1_98 Release Note.

7 General Information MF6900A Fader
Firmware version V is used Firmware version can also be used with this release MF6900A Fader is used by License Option 461 Tests, all other tests are not required Test Dialog software requires JRE™ (Java Runtime Environment) 1.6 on both the RTD control PC and AAP Control PC. A) To download the JRE, go to and follow the prompts to download the current release of java .

8 General Information All tests in this package can be executed in automation. AAP compatibility – configuration.ini file included in each commercial test package. For Execution from the RTD Control PC Edit MX786201A-460.ini in C:\Program Files\Anritsu\Rapid Test Designer\4.10.0\extensions on the RTD Control PC and ensure: autoStartTestDialog=1 connectToTestDialog=1 testDialogAddress= Run the tests using the RTD GUI.

9 General Information UE APNs – It is necessary to have an APN configured in the UE PDN #1: pta - for data-centric tests In LTE tests that return the DUT to RRC_IDLE state after attachment, the DUT must be configured to not initiate uplink data packets; otherwise, these tests may fail. It is recommended to run the test cases in a shielded environment to avoid interference from the live T-Mobile LTE network Test package does not provide any provision for user configurable cable loss compensation. Please ensure short length / low loss RF cabling is used.

10 General Information Authentication parameter SQN is tracked across all test plans in C:\RTDTests\SQN.txt Authentication failure with cause Sync Failure is due to mismatch between SQN on UICC and SQN in SQN.txt The quickest and most reliable way to get a UICC and the RTD PC in sync is to: Use a SIM reader to change all 33 SQN records back to on the UICC Set C:\RTDTests\SQN.txt to

11 General Information APM log files should be acquired if problems or failures are experienced during the throughput part of tests. To analyze a consistently failing test, Anritsu requires a matching set of control PC and server logs. The RTD Control PC log files are located at: C:\ProgramFiles\Anritsu\Logs\RTD4.10.0\mmi\PerformanceMeasurement\apm_out.log. The data server PC log files are located at: /var/log/anritsu/apm/apm_out.log.

13 General Information Useful files during execution:
A sample UE proxy file ATT_LTE_Sample_Proxy.xml, is provided with this release and is intended as a starting point for tailoring UE-specific proxy files for use during AT Commands during execution. When executing tests from RTD, rename the file to proxy.xml in C:\Program Files\Anritsu\RapidTest Designer\4.10.0\bin. When executing tests from AAP, ensure the proxy file is C:\Anritsu\AAP\UE and select it when running the AAP Select UE step.

18 LTE SON Execution tips TestDialog utility inform the user of events during test execution and prompt for user responses This allows time for tethering UE, ping test etc. UE must be tethered to RTD Control PC for APM to work. LTE SON tests require a second LVDS cable connected between MF6900A Port 4 and Master MD8430A Ports 3 & 4. A second sync (BNC) cable is required to be connected between MF6900A Sync Start 2 and Master MD8430A Sync Out 2. For LTE SON tests, FTP file transfer may complete prematurely (prior to receiving a Measurement report),causing an inconclusive test execution result.

When using Release-9 LTE UEs, the BCCH Container is not encoded correctly for several CSFB (Option 464)tests when using Low Level UTRAN-GERAN procedure Encode RRC Message as Octet String
