HISTORICAL CONTEXT: The year is You are either a Spanish colonist (a peninsulare or a creole), you are a resident of Spain, or you reside in another European nation such as Portugal, France or England. TASK: You are to write a letter to Senor Bartolome de Las Casas in reaction to the images you will see on the next slide. Be sure to clearly express your support or your disagreement with his position about the treatment of the Indians at the hands of the Spanish.
