4. 3. Living things obtain and use materials and energy. Metabolism- All of the chemical reactions carried out in an organism to produce energy. Almost all the energy used by living organisms is captured from sunlight.

5. 4. Living things maintain a stable internal environment. Homeostasis- The ability to stay the same on the inside despite of changes in the surrounding environment. How do humans maintain a constant body temperature?
