Four Opposition Points for Going Multi-site By Tom Cheyney

Four Opposition Points for Going Multi-site Almost right from the start, you will face a degree of opposition regarding any decision to move your church towards a multi-site strategy approach! Often, this is because we confuse unity and diversity. We CAN be one church in two or more diverse locations!

Four Opposition Points for Going Multi-site Usually the opposition to any off-site location will be centered around the question: “How can we still be one church when we meet in different locations?” How you answer this question will be important to your success in moving towards a multi-site strategy.

Four Opposition Points for Going Multi-site Opposition Point Number One: Time When will you meet? If it breaks us away from one service, how can we remain a unified church?

Four Opposition Points for Going Multi-site Opposition Point Number Two: The day we will meet Are we going to meet on another day besides Sunday? Will a Saturday service be involved?

Four Opposition Points for Going Multi-site Opposition Point Number Three: Worship styles Will we have different worship styles? How can we remain unified if we become more diverse?

Four Opposition Points for Going Multi-site Opposition Point Number Four: Location If we go to multiple campuses, how will we still remain one church?

Four Opposition Points for Going Multi-site Though these are important questions, if they are not handled effectively, the opposition towards going multi-site might derail you before you even get started. By initially giving attention to these questions, you might save yourself much pain once you lead your church to a multi-site strategy.
