The public was extremely interested from the very beginning Most newspapers were sympathetic

4. 4Wolfgang DungelJune 3, 2009 AUSTRIA WILL REMAIN PART OF CERN We did not let the discussion become personal But still, we were quite happy when on the 11 th day … Our conclusion: –Fast and decisive action helped organize public opinion –There had been no “hierarchy” – only cooperation! –Strong support from other scientific fields! –Spin-offs (medicine technology) resonated with the public Thanks to all members of our fantastic network and outreach!
