“But those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a snare and many foolish and harmful desires which plunge men into ruin and destruction. For the love of money is a root of all sorts of evil, and some by longing for it have wandered away from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.” 1 Timothy 6:9-10

Gambling Is Harmful

 A game of chance, a wager or bet in which players agree to risk losing some money to other players in exchange for the chance to win the possessions of others or to gain advantage over others without compensation to the losers. WHAT IS GAMBLING?

 Labor in what is good (Eph. 4:28; 1 Tim. 5:18; 2 Thess. 3:10; Gen. 3:17-19).  Fair and lawful exchange of goods or money (Matt. 13:45- 46; John 4:8).  Giving as an expression of good will, kindness and love (Acts 20:35; Eph. 4:28; 1 Tim. 6:17-18). HOW DOES GOD INTEND FOR MAN TO MAKE GAINS AND BE PROSPEROUS?

 Gambling is a form of covetousness (Col. 3:5; 1 Cor. 5:11; 6:10).  Wrongfully desiring or longing for more, even to the point of gaining what belongs to others. WHY IS GAMBLING HARMFUL AND UNGODLY?

 Gambling does not treat others in the manner a gambler wishes to be treated (Luke 6:31). WHY IS GAMBLING HARMFUL AND UNGODLY?

 Gambling is the opposite of love because it hurts others (Rom. 13:8-10; 1 Cor. 13:5). WHY IS GAMBLING HARMFUL AND UNGODLY?
