2 30.2 b a c kn e x t h o m e Fair Labor Standards Act The Fair Labor Standards Act excludes:  Employees working for firms doing intrastate business.  Employees working in a business excluded from the Act, such as agriculture.  Employees in positions such as executives, administrators, and outside salespeople.  That part of the transportation industry over which the Interstate Commerce Commission has control.
