Create a list of the characters you need for your first short story. o Remember: limit developed characters o Make sure you follow the do’s and don’ts. o Don’t settle on the first characters you think of. Everything you choose must serve a purpose within the story. If it’s not working towards your overall goal, you probably shouldn’t include it. o Character List (name, age, appearance, necessary background info, balance of characteristics [good and bad], transformation within the story) o What are the conflicts within the story? List all.
