Continue November 8 th 2002 – Un Security Council passed Resolution 1441 requiring Iraq to disarm –UN weapons inspectors allowed back in –Bush pushed for military action March 17 th 2003, US withdrew is proposal from UN – UN would not support military action –Announced Diplomacy had failed March 19 th 2003, US invaded Iraq –No weapons of Mass Destruction found –No connection of 9/11 found –Bin Laden still on run –Costly War –December 2011 – Last US troops leave Iraq
